“Faroes Statement” addresses developmental exposure

The Faroes Statement: Human Health Effects of Developmental Exposure to Chemicals in Our Environment was agreed at the International Conference on Fetal Programming and Developmental Toxicity (PPTOX 2007 conference).

The conference in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands, 20-24 May 2007 brought together 200 participants from many disciplines. The goal was to highlight new insights into the effects of prenatal and early postnatal exposure to chemical agents, and their sustained effects on the individual throughout the lifespan.

The conference conclusions and other documents are available online via Basic & Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology. Full PDF articles as well as abstracts are available here.
