On October 10, 2008 over 300 representatives of stakeholder organisations from around the world participated in the first Stakeholders´ Day of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki, Finland.
Up-to-date information on pre-registration, registration and the forthcoming candidate list of Substances of Very High Concern was presented. In the afternoon session ECHA collected stakeholders’ feed-back and identified ways to enhance its activities with external partners. During this session Ninja Reineke, representative from the WWF European Policy Office and also Chemicals Health Monitor Steering Committee member, presented the “View of stakeholders on their involvement in ECHA’s activities”.
