Sandra Steingraber, well known author of two important books on environmental health, has just published another work about raising children in an age of environmental crisis.
Her previous works, Living Downstream: A Scientist’s Personal Investigation of Cancer and the Environment and Having Faith: An Ecologist’s Journey to Motherhood, have been key pieces in introducing environmental health issues to the wider public. Both are listed on the Chemicals Health Monitor’s recommended books page here. Living Downstream was also recently made into a documentary film, and the Health and Environment Alliance held screenings in the European Parliament and in Brussels as part of our Cancer and Environment Week in November / December 2010 details.
